It is our intention to place these dogs in their “forever homes”. Some of them have had particularly hard lives thus far, so we ask that you be certain before filling out an application to adopt, that you have the time, energy, and financial means to care for a Boxer long-term (please see our Boxer Breed Info Link). Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue has many wonderful Boxers available for adoption. Thank you for considering adopting a rescued Boxer! Adopting a dog of any breed is a very big decision and one that should be agreed upon by the entire family. Adoption donations are NON-REFUNDABLE, as the donations are immediately used to pay vet bills. We are a nonprofit organization run solely on donations, and all donations are tax-deductible. The adoption fee required to adopt a rescued Boxer is considered a donation. However, if you have not received a reply within two weeks, feel free to contact us. Please allow our volunteers up to two weeks to process your application, though it often takes less time. If you would like to submit an Adoption Application, you may do so by using the link below. They have been through quite a bit and deserve to find that permanent home of their own where they will be cherished as members of a family. All of our Boxers are on heartworm prevention and are microchipped.Īdopting a dog of any breed is a very big decision and one that should be agreed upon by the entire family. Puppies are current on vaccines appropriate for their age. We have been actively showing in conformation now for nearly 8 years and have loved every minute. All of our Boxers are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, have had a heartworm test, fecal test, and deworming, as well as being treated for any injuries or illnesses prior to adoption. Raising young children and showing dogs aren't the easiest combination so I continued to focus on more research within the breed. Showing, working, and training was always my dream as a child. 13+ years ago we welcomed our first boxer into our home when our youngest Logan was not quite 2. The lack of reputable boxer breeders to mentor under was alarming. I stopped and greeted every boxer I ran across, asked a million questions, spent countless hours reading books and online, enjoyed playing with numerous boxers, and visited a breeder.I knew I had a few years before we would be ready for a new addition but I wanted to make sure we were prepared and making the right decision for our family. Number one on my list was "are they good with children".considering we had just began having a family of our own. From that moment I began to research the breed and find out all of the information that I could. My love for the breed started roughly 24 years ago when I saw the most beautiful boxer, a flashy fawn. The Boxer breed is so easy to fall in love with.they are the biggest clowns, extremely devoted to family, have the warmest hearts, and by far the most stunning breed i have ever laid eyes on.
